Is my vehicle eligible for SecureDrive Mechanical Breakdown Protection?
We cover new, used and certified pre-owned electric and hybrid vehicles up to 13 model years and 200,000 km.
Can I include SecureDrive Mechanical Breakdown Protection in my vehicle financing?
Yes! If you purchase your contract at the same time as your vehicle, your selling dealer will generally allow you to roll everything into your vehicle financing deal.
Will my vehicle’s high voltage battery be covered?
Yes! Electric and hybrid vehicle battery replacement is covered by your SecureDrive Mechanical Breakdown Protection contract.
Where can I get my vehicle repaired if I experience a breakdown?
We recommend that you take your vehicle to the dealership where you purchased your SecureDrive contract whenever possible.
How do I make a claim?
Simply locate your contract number. Visit your selling dealer, or any other repair shop of your choice, to get your claim started.
How long can I purchase coverage for?
If your manufacturer’s warranty is still in effect when you purchase your contract, you can get coverage for up to 10 years and 200,000 km. If your vehicle is used or certified pre-owned, you can get coverage for up to 4 years and 80,000 km.
Can I switch to SecureDrive if I already have another protection policy?
Maybe. It will depend on whether you are keeping your vehicle and whether you will be able to cancel your current protection plan. We suggest consulting your local SecureDrive dealer so they can talk you through available options.
